This is the website for Kenji Yoshigawa, also known as "tunnel man", a geoscientist at the University of Alaska Fairbanks. Kenji is studying changes in permafrost temperatures with the students in schools throughout Alaska who place data-loggers in tunnels on their school grounds and send him the temperature data. The website features a scientist blog, the data collection protocols, background information about permafrost and climate change, and data plots from the school sites and other northern locations. Last, but not least, is the exciting and entertaining Tunnel Man video series to get students geared up for the science project!
