These lesson plans were developed as part of Marine Ecosystem Workshops sponsored by COSEE Alaska and its partners Alaska Sea Grant, the University of Alaska Fairbanks (UAF) School of Fisheries and Ocean Sciences, the Alaska SeaLife center, Alaska Ocean Observing System (AOOS) and the UAF Center for Crosscultural Studies to engage scientists and teachers in collaborative development of lesson plans. Major support for the workshops was provided by the National Science Foundation.

These lesson plans were developed by Alexanda Doty as outreach for her research funded by the North Pacific Research Board.
